Unsung Heroines: Leading the Way

Hello, I’m Kiyara Wade, a senior at The University of Akron majoring in Strategic and Organizational Communication, with a minor in Marketing and certifications in Social Media and Women’s Studies. Over the years, I’ve developed a deep passion for advocating women’s rights, particularly in the workforce, where my goal is to uplift, inspire, and empower women to reach their full potential.

As Vice President of Member Relations Media for the Women in Business organization, I’ve had the privilege of connecting with women leaders who are paving the way for future generations. Whether it’s through event planning, social media campaigns, or creating engaging content, I’m dedicated to breaking down barriers and making a meaningful impact.

Outside of my studies and leadership roles, I’m always seeking ways to engage in conversations about equity, feminism, and professional growth. I believe that every woman has the potential to lead and make significant contributions to society, and my work is focused on ensuring they have the support and platform to do so.
